This game is a prototype that is still in development so any feedback would be appreciated.

MAZEXGRAVITY is a platform game in which you try to get out of a maze by changing the gravity and avoiding many traps.

- Press "Space" to change gravity.

- Hold "S" to dash. Be careful not to reach the "Escape Velocity" (At your own risk).

- Changing the gravity on a ground of the same color is like changing the sense of player movement.

- When this arrow appears above the player it means that you can change the gravity when it appears.

- When you encounter a laser put yourself in the same color by changing support or ground.

- finish the game by reaching this laser.

A really good simple game. Tho I haven't beaten it yet, I do already have smth to give feedback on.
The simple contrasting colors are neat, tho maybe you could play a bit more with the block's pattern. Since the direction that you'll moving on each color is different, I thought having blocks with arrow patterns could easily show what direction each color would go on. It would still be simple, but also functional.
The movement is pretty janky. Camera seems to snap into place at every corner. It makes it hard to time the gravity shift, especially in laser tunnels.
The laser tunnels kinda demand great reaction time, and if that's what you wanted for players of the game, then great. Otherwise, it's pretty hard. Even harder was the color change near a corner, and yes, I am projecting, lol. If it's ok, could you increase the distance between lasers, just a bit?

Also, encountered a bug; while going through the long tunnels of alternating lasers, I suddenly stopped moving. No button pressing could get me out. It has something to do with switching gravity at the right time so that I'm inside a different colored laser when I switch colors.

Thank you very much for your reply; For the future I plan to work with experienced people to help me create the best possible gaming experience with very few bugs. For the moment I am alone and focused on another project.

Thanks for coming this far, I'll take note of all your suggestions for future updates (if there ever are any). ;-)

In the meantime can if you want to try this horror game : https://jik-a-4.itch.io/hillcity

My discord name is : jikafour (If you have any other suggestions on this game or other games of mine.)

Not bad idea. What do you plan or what ideas about extending do you have?

  1. (I think) The music is too epic
  2. (I think) 8-bit music would fit better
  3. Web version shouldn't have "quit" button or should ignore it
  4. The pink and flipped Y in the banner is a little ambiguous

Thank You! I will pay attention to it for future updates and the "Y" is to make a connection with gravity :-) .

Yeah, I understand the purpose of flipped Y but just look on it without other texts. I know one thing that looks very similarly so I don't recommend to use this Y but do whatever you want

Thank you I hadn't noticed.
